Tasty, thin-shelled nuts split on their own when fully
ripe. Grows 60 ft. tall with a straight, sturdy trunk, shaggy
bark and glowing golden timber. Plant two trees to pollinate.

| Comments: Large taproot. Hard to transplant. Tree is high branching and has shaggy bark. Sweet and very edible nuts. May not bear fruit until 7-10 years of age. Nuts are favored for baking. Do not fertilize when first planted, unless it is a slow release fertilizer in pellet form. Mulch around the tree 4-6 inches to retain moisture in the soil. Water 1-2 times weekly.
