Cold Set are cold-resistant tomatoes which tolerate light frost. Produces a prolific crop of firm, flavorful 3-4 in. bright scarlet fruits. Determinate.

Our standard and heirloom tomatoes are treasured for their superior flavor and aroma. Determinate vines ripen fruit in a 2-3 week period and need no staking. Indeterminate vines are larger, require staking and continue to set fruit until frost.

How the Cold sets Worked for me
Reviewed By: Janelle (Curlew, Washington)
The cold set was easy to grow. I started the plants indoors and they were very tolerant of cool (60 degree weather while growing). The bushes were absolutely LOADED with tomatoes. Small plum size. We had to stake up our cages so they wouldn't fall over. We had a very cold season last year and I was unable to wait for the tomatoes to ripen on the bush before the first freeze but they were mature enough to ripen nicely indoors. They seemed to be one of the longer keepers. A mildly acid (old fashioned) tasting tomato.
