The vines grew and spread beautifully, and they seemed quite resistant to garden pests! I harvested my crop at about 120 days, but was a little disappointed that the sweet potatoes were very small,(smaller than most baking potatoes.) We have top quality soil and ideal growing conditions in our area, but nontheless, pitifully tiny sweet potatoes. I can't imagine what went wrong...however I rate them a 4 for TASTE! I planted 12 plants, and yielded about 20 small sweet potatoes, enough for only one cooked dish, but the rich orange color and the wonderful sweet taste, made it worth it! - Wednesday, June 24, 2009jets Reviewed By: jim (honesdale, pa) I will give them a five in PA north they do grow, but you need sandy soil they do not like compacted soil I learned the hard way. But what we got was very good anyway recommend yes. - Wednesday, January 07, 2009A wonderful product Reviewed By: Keith (Madison, CT) This product will change the minds of those who don't think sweet potatoes can be grown north of the Mason-Dixon line. Wonderful potatoes that kept through Christmas, when they were finally all eaten. They don't take up too much room in the garden and are easy to set and harvest. A lot of fun to point out to wondering neighbors who can't believe sweet potatoes can be grown in Zone 5. Read More Reviews |
