Impressive

We got our grapes plant yesterday. It was larger than I expected. It was about 14-16in long. Plant had relatively large root system but no soil around it. It was packed in wet shredded paper and wrapped in plastic. It looked dormant but clearly still alive with a few small buds. We soaked it in water for 3 h and put it into soil. We are very optimistic out this plant.

Great grapes

I received ten plants this last Spring, and only one shows no signs of growth. The other nine are growing like crazy on my very stout arbor. Pruning books tell you to trim back the foliage in the Fall for the first two or three years, and then the roots will be developed enough to produce plenty of grapes. I'm very optimistic!

I got my oder last Saturday morning. I soaked the roots for two hours in tap water and planted in good soil by 4 PM. Monday morning we have green buds on all 6 of my new plants and am thrilled by the quick gtowth. If, this is an example of what we can expect in the future, I shall place many orders with Henry Field's Nursery. Sincerely James Schendel Retired Fireman, now gardening hobbiest.
