Prairie Fire Crabapple

All-season beauty! Intense pinkish-red blooms in spring. New purple-maroon foliage becomes appealing reddish green, then dazzling red, orange and purple in fall. Birds devour its glossy dark red fruit; no littering problems! Fruit persists into winter. 15- to 20-ft. tall tree is very resistant to disease and Japanese beetles!

Comments: bBeauty for all se3asons. Prolific flower production in the spring, blooms are very clear and bright, never muddy, new foilage is an attractive purple-maroon, becomes reddish-green and then red, orange and purple in the fall. Red fruit is persistent into late fall, even winter- that is if the birds don't eat it by then. No littering problems, as birds relish the fruit and will eat it directly off the tree.

Super Tree

I planted 3 of these trees along the back fence. Every spring they put on a spectacular show of hot pink flowers. I have recent moved home to Boise, and I look forward to planting them here. I simply love them!

Fast growth
Reviewed By: KC (Jackson, Ca)
This was by far the best purchase and hardiest tree in my well over $100 order this spring. It was 1 of 2 trees that actually sprouted from the whole 3-4' length stated in the purchase guide. All the others from said height sprouted out from the root balls and had to be cut back to ground level and started over. This little beauty has doubled in size and I am hoping for blooms and fruit in the next year or two. Would definately recommend.
