Just what I get for not having a dog or an electric fence. When I went to clean out the stalks they had destroyed, I was surprised to find one lone, ripe ear. I cleaned it and just for kicks took a bite. NEVER in my life have I eaten raw sweet corn on the cob, but this was so sweet and absolutely delicious, I couldn't help it!! Needless to say, this year I am only planting Peaches & Cream, and since my husband won't let us get a dog, I am putting up an electric fence so we get all the corn to ourselves. No more sharing with the wildlife!
