Carefree hydrangeas bear big clusters of gorgeous blossoms for months on end. Thrive in either sun or shade, and are rarely bothered by pests.
In acid soil, Nikko Blue sports 6 inch cobalt blue flowers (in neutral soil, blooms are soft pink). Plants grow 3-6 ft. tall. Annabelle produces 4-5 inch white blooms on 4-6 ft. tall plants. Pink Beauty bears giant pink flowers, up to 8 inches across, on compact 3 ft. plants. Potted plants.

| Comments: For best flower color, feed with an acid fertilizer or add one teaspoon ammonium sulfate every 2 weeks for 6-8 feedings after new leaves are produced. Mulch year round heavily with shredded leaves or straw. Blooms on old wood, so prune only after flowereing. Protect during the winter in colder climates as follows: place a chicken wire cylinder around the bush and fill wilth straw, shredded leaves, or any other non-compacting material.
