For beautiful color in shade! Patterned
red, white and green foliage is gorgeous
in the shade garden. 18-24 in. tall.
Zones 7-10. In zones 6 and north, lift
plant before frost and store bulbs in a cool
dry place through the winter. May be
treated as a houseplant in the winter. Best
in rich, moist soil. 10-12 cm bulbs.

| Comments: Very slow to emerge after planting, plant inside in shallow container. Place tubers on 3 inch layer of moist peat; cover with 2 inches moist peat. Keep in 79-80 degrees F area. Plant outside when sprouted. After frost lift, dry and store in frost-free spot. May take 6-8 weeks for growth to show. Restricted in CA. All parts may be toxic if ingested.
