Glossy green leaves look like little fans and provide year-round color. Not necessary to trim, but kept at 4-6 ft., it forms a dense, wind-blocking barrier and excellent privacy screen. Branches themselves remain pliable and easy to work with. Plant 2 ft. apart. Zones 2-8.

Mediocre Deal

I bought the 15 plant quantity Arborvitae deal. I knew they were dormant plants and supposed to be 9 to 12 inches, got nine great looking plants, and six barely more than a rooted branch tucked in to fulfill the quantity. I had higher expectations from Henry Fields than I received!
